Tranquillity (1029), Espoo, Finland Apr 25, 2008 Shared with fatphil (below). Orange colour, almost no head. Sour lemon aroma, berries. The taste is not right on the spot as with most Cantillons. It’s a bit fruitier with the yeast added. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 5, 2008 Bottled at RBESG - thanks to Patrick? for bringing it. A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with notes of gooseberries and a bit a lactic acid and cork. The flavor is acidic with strong notes of gooseberries as well as notes of wood, leading to a dry and acidic finish. The acidity prickles the palate. FatPhil (2063), Espoo, Finland Mar 31, 2008 375ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki)
Dark orange, no head. Simple sour fruity berry aroma. Bitter and a bit woody, some phenols. Somehow not doing it for me compared with their better ones - no kick. Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 4, 2007 Hazy golden, headless pour, rather dull-looking frankly. The aroma leads you to forgive the poor looks as this lady unveils her perfumey juicy plump berries aroma. Very attenuated. The usual Cantillon harsh lemon, intense barnyardy, mushroomy yeastiness is there in force. Cheesy, the fruit does not appear as much as most. Very tart, but diplomatic palate. Short dry finish, astringent and cider-like. Not my favourite Cantillon I must confess. rickgordon (3060), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 10, 2007 Bottle generously shared at RBESG by...who was it? Per?.
Hazy deepl yellow colour.
Acidic barnyard aroma with red berries. Stiller, and softer than regular Cantilons with acidic, old-ish woody backbone.
