| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bottle 37cl. A yellow-orange beer with a head that disappeard quickly. The smell is nice and fruity. Taste is very dry, very bitter without any fruit flavour. A bit vinegar but the main taste is mushroom and bitterness. Quite strange for a gueuse. bluebetty (107), Australia

Disappears pretty quickly. Aromas of lemon, vinegar, some sourness and a little funk. Lambic plavours of leather and horseblanket. A little lemon and some green apple. Finish is very dry with some acid and funk on the finish. Wonderfully balanced. Great beer. jdskinns (21), South Roxana, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Transparent yellow/orange body with a fizzy white head. Lots of bubbles in this one, leaving a thin layer of white over the beer. Smell is well on the funky side. Taste is lemon citrus and rather dry. Good stuff, my first introduction to Cantillon and I’m definitely excited to try more! It pours a meadium cloudy golden colour with a sexy white head. The aroma is outrageously complex. Lemon Citrus, old oak, slightly savoury, a touch of elderflower, almost barnyard, leather, a touch smokey, mild vanilla. I could smell this all day long.
Tastes of lemon citrus, sour, tart, high acidity, clean, great length, dry finish. Very refreshing, Not being that familar with Gueuze i did not expect it to taste quite like that from what i smelt of the nose.
This beer reminds me of a riesling of gruner vetliner.
I think i’m addicted. Davros (213), Australia

Golden pour with a small head.
Aroma is very fruity, with tart gooseberries, elderflower and unripe raspberries along with funky and goaty notes hiding underneath. Mild oaky notes show themselves later on.
Upon tasting, first of all I’ve gotta say, this is pretty damn tart, almost bitter, like biting into a lemon through the skin and all. A fair whack of acidity, with little in the way of balancing sweetness. Once you’ve got used to it some oak and funk comes through. Not bad after a couple of sips!
Light body and carbonation - I would have liked it to be more lively! stobbe74 (700), Denmark
