Nose is totally out of control: vinous, musty, vinegary, musty, and with notes of sour fruits. Medium bodied and initally puckering, the beer settles into a leathery passionfruit character, before finishing oaken and herbal in a crisp, moreish finish. Ancient hop grassiness clings to the palate in the aftertaste. Either you love it or hate it, but this is one of the wildest of the style. JK54B (951), Helsinki, Finland

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2008 draft @ brouwer’s sour fest - cloudy and pale yellow; white head lingers; tart aromas and lots of funk; texture is thin and sweet, sort of like a white wine; flavors of honey, apples and sweet candy; tartness is there, but sweetness melds it nicely; pretty tasty Broke4Beer (6), denver, Colorado, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 23, 2008 Color is a foggy light amber. The nose is sour crabapple and chokecherry, along with a yeasty finish. The flavors come similarly, sour and citrus-y at first, falling into an early spring fruit (apple and cherry) balancing flavor that is punctuated by sour farmhouse style yeast. For me, the beer is sour, and yet very palate-able and drinkable and well balanced by a bit of bitterness. The mouthfeel is syrupy, but the high carbonation and acidity draw my attention away from the weight of the beer. A great session beer. Delicious! Aquilo (275), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2008 I like the yellow-orange color. The head is white and thin. Smells grassy and yeasty, with some limes. There’s a bit of a bottle stink going on, which I’m willing to forgive. Very sour and lemony. I can’t decide if I like it. The tartness takes some getting used to. I’ll let my rating stand as is for now. I may re-rate this some day. esox (270), Oulu, Finland
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 22, 2008 Bottle. Almost without a head. Cloudy yellow, a bit reddish liquid. Yeasty flavor with and sour citrus fruits. Some vanilla notes. Delicate sour/dry flavor flavor with citric acid. Light to medium body and tacky dry mouthfel in the finish. Very drinkable and refreshing. Propably at its best when drinked outdoors in the summer. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 20, 2008 a bit lighter and less complex then the other stuff i’ve had from cantillon. tasted strong lime, citrus, cloudy pour golden with a head that disperses really quickly. mouthfeel is spot on, very refreshing, and very, very drinkable. one of the most pleasing lambics i’ve had. Cheers tom for that! satan165 (604), River Grove, Illinois, USA
