Smell is unappealing guaze, horseblanket. Taste is very sour and bland with no real flavor. No maltiness or sweetness, and just spoiled bacterial sourness. Saying this tastes of the multitude of fruits I’ve read in reviews really seems to be stretching it a bit to me... MoDog (923), Griffith, Indiana, USA

This lambic poured a hazy golden color with a quickly fading head of fizzy white bubbles. No lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of crab apples, white grapes, honey, oak, light citrus, and also some funky yeast. The flavor consisted of a mouth puckering sourness, followed up by apple, pear, white wine, earthy yeast, and some mild citrus notes. The mouthfeel was light, crisp, and dry with mild carbonation. Complex and enjoyable. I can’t wait to get some more! french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Aromas of apple cider, rhubarb, unripped bananas, white wine, alcohol and herbal hops. Acid, sour, salty... Great balance and a lighter lambic compared to its other brews. Added flavors of light white wine, rhubarb and sour apples. screwball (796), Motala, Sweden

Tartness is lemon in nature with a somewhat dry note. Mouthfeel is lively but not overdone. Very different beer but a must try. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Light and fruity, with big sourness and acidity over the back. Dry woody oak in the very front moves into big peach and apricot flavor. Very much that dry musty flavor or apricots at the end. A perfect thirst quenching summer beer. The sourness sits on the tongue and as it fades slowly, leaving behind apricot all over the tongue, you just crave it all over again. There is even a bit of floral hops giving off just the slightest suggestion of bitterness, which plays wonderfully with the wood and sourness. A very nice example of the style. I could drink gallons of this.
