Aroma is oak, sour and yeasty. Taste is glorious, initially it’s like biting into a stick of rhubarb not that there is any rhubarb flavour but just for that great sharp crisp bite. Wonderful sourness and complex flavours such gentle carbonation as well, it’s fruity, its lemony its funky, fab beer. Kalli (480), Falun, Sweden

It pours a clear straw like color with a white head that fades to a ring and some dusting. Very sour taste, with hints of oak and apples in it. Very long tart finish, with a lightness on the palate. A very nice gueuze, I really need to get my hands on some of these to have my wine drinking friends try. Proteus (98), Finland
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Bottle. Somewhat hazy but clearer in color than other gueuzes. Aroma is a blend of citrus and hops. Balanced sour flavor with good amount of carbonation. A dry finish with fruity notes; apples, I would say. Great gueuze. EithCubes (2170), Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Bottle. Aroma is a woody, dry vinegar, lightly sour and acidic. Pour’s golden with an ephemeral whitish head that quickly disappears. Medium sour taste, very dry and woody, not overpowering and mouth-puckering as expected. Notably acidic, though. Mediumish body, and bone dry throughout. In this bottle, at least, the Gueuze is easy-drinking and relaxed, leaving a long, dry, gentle aftertaste, acidic, yes, but delicious!
