The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Big lasting head. Very carbonated. Dark yellow. Zesty cheese and lemon zest aroma. Tasty piece of dirty cheese cloth taste. Cheese, lemon and salt like an unsweetened kids sour candy.

My friend tell me to drink this "Belgium" beer and I try drinking it because I like Belgium beers. But this is too light. Is this Belgium lager or Belgium Ale? I think lager it must, because of the sulfur and rubber. Why not cleaner like real Belgium beers!

750 ML bottle from holiday wine cellar. Poured a cloudy orange, with a huge head that left nice lacing on the glass. Very tart, sour, and dry tastes of fruit. Pretty decent lambic.

Number 100... poured a mirky orangish gold color with little head. Taste was tart which also was bitter like a rhine of a fruit.? Nose was sour. Not bad for a relaxing night in the springtime on the deck just hanging out.

Brux 07. Tasting at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy ligt amber with a white fizzy head. Smells kinda sulphourish. Quite heavy sourness with some sweetness. Also some bitterenss. Aromas of grass, cask wood and strong vinegar. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Metallic and bitter finish.

Draft. Aroma: Sour right off the bat. A bit champagne-like with a dry acidic edge. Some light citrus with notes of orange and green apple. Brett funk is very earthy with notes of hay and horse sweat. Appearance: Golden orange in color and clear. Head was small, white and rocky and didn’t linger long. Not much lacing. Flavor: A light touch of wheat and bready malt. Sourness is right on the money and very well balanced. Funk has some of the earthy/barnyard notes from the aroma, but seems more tilted towards the sweat side of the spectrum. A light oakiness and a small taste of honey right before the finish. Very dry finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Very tasty. Only beef was that it seemed a little under-carbonated, but that could be the fault of the bar that served it. A small complaint. The sourness, malt, and funk was all very well put together here.

Bottle; I am a novice to sour beers but so far this has been by far the best i have had. Aromas of sweet and tons of sour with a little fruit aroma. Pours gold/yellow with a decent white head. Flavor is realllly sour. By far the sourest i have had, a little tart sweetness with hints of fruit. Reminds me of really sour fruit juice. I quite enjoyed it.

Tasted 2 separate vintages/labels: 2006 "classic" and 2005 "organic." Hazy orangeish pour with minimal head. Sour on the nose, firm on the palate and wow.... quite a sour flavor. Excited tastebuds I didn’t know existed. Very lively and refreshing gueuze.
