Commercial Description:
The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Bottle at Zly casy, Prague. This one knocked my head back, a champagne disguised as a beer? - Aroma of fruits , strawberry, and lemon. Taste is more of the same, really nice mouthfeel, high carbonation, and a tasting sensation.

750mL at Red Monk. Not bad for my first sour. Smelled like dirty gym socks. Flavor was very lemony, but not too harsh. Had some lambics since this one and this has been my favorite so far.

Bottle 1996 courtesy of Jakob. Cloudy yellow with no head. It has a very dry and very dusty aroma with notes of citrus, mainly grape and wood. Flavour is dry grape, dust and wood, with a long acidic after taste. Very interesting but a little to dusty for me.

When fresh it is good but mild, a bit simple yet refreshing with allot of lemon. Older bottles is a harcore acid attack with extreme concentrated funky barnyard notes, hay, lemon and wood.

Sampled at Cantillon Brewery museum: was not prepared from the extreme sour taste. Amber with almost no head. Yeasty, earthy arouma. Puckering sour taste which lasted, a unique almost champagne-like beer. Certainly unique and worth a try.

Classic Gueuze 750ml bottle - golden hued, fizzy, tiny bubbles that don’t last. Tart, sour apples and earthy, mustiness on the nose and on the palette. Dry with little aftertaste and bitterness. I enjoyed this beer a lot.

Labeled Classic Gueuze with guy tipping back on chair. 750mL at Red Monk. Some vomit in the aroma. Rather sour. Lots of gym socks. Earthy. Lots of citrus in the finish. Finish has some dust and wine too. Palate is nice, not harsh at all.

Bottle at Den Dyver restaurant in Bruges (recommended). My first geuze and certainly not what I am used to!. A hazy yellow beer with a small white head but lively carbonation. Tart sour lemony aromas with a very sour dry taste that was off-putting at first but it became more pleasurable as I went down the glass. I then realised that this beer was perfectly matched with the pickled herrings I had chosen as one of the starters on the fixed price menu. An acquired taste for sure but I shall be investigating further.
