Fresh sharp nose, huge rush of tart sour that explodes and fades to dry bitter finish. Lots of wheat, touch of honey. Creamy but knives out, explosive. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow to orange with a fluffy thin white head, some jello like attributes as well. Aroma is a mix of an old moldy sock, rotten eggs, and earthy, barnyard. The taste is shrieking lashes to the tongue of sour vinegary mess. Just when I thought I was starting to get why people enjoy sours this one deflates all hopes of my will changing towards them. TET (249), Finland

Aroma is really funky. Lots of barnyard, funk, grass, hay, horse, a touch of leather, and cobwebs. Flavor is quite tart up front with a faint sweetness and lots of funk to follow. Really quite good and really well balanced. It’s tart for sure, but not out of round. I really like this and will have to put a few more in the cellar. Very strong lactic nose with zesty notes and faint sulphur odour. Very sharp yoghurt tast of lambic, plus fruit and caramel sweetness. From bottle curly (767), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Pours hazy bright orange with a medium white head that fades. Aroma- skunk, funk, yeast, orange, lemon, vinegar, sour berries, honey, sweaty blanket, peach, overall very zesty and pungeant at the same time. Taste is brutally sour but deliciously painful, kind of like having a small cut and pouring alcohol on it just to feel the burn. Medium light body medium carbonation. trevor211 (530), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 8, 2009 On tap at Brouwer’s Big Wood 09. Light honey-colored pour, with a small head. Very dusty / funky - bitter citrus and some grassy notes, but it has a good sweet note, too - like the Girardin with a little touch of honey. Really vibrant, and extremely refreshing. Just great.
