75 cl bottle, via Stateline Liquors. Pours a beautiful clear cherry red body with a nice two finger fizzy pink tinged head. Second pour was a good bit more cloudy. The nose is tart and woody with a funkiness that you can only get from Cantillon. Can’t say that there was a whole lot of cherry in the nose, but there was a touch of skins and a cherry pit like note. The flavor is dry and tart with a slightly bracing acidity, just a suggestion of actual cherries with a little oaky dryness on the finish. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with nice slightly prickly carbonation. Lingering woody and sour finish. Overall, this was pretty good, but for some reason it just didn’t amaze me this night. I’ve had better bottles.

Bottled oct 12, 2007. 375ml from Drankencentrale Rutsaert. Clear ruby red with small redish tinted white head. Aroma is real dirty, stinky, funk like sewage almost and I mean that in the best of ways, also cherry. Dirty, slight sour, real drinkable, slight cherry, more fruity and sour then anything else, maybe like dirty raspberry, off-dry. Medium to light body with nice pucker sourness. All around very nice and a pleasure to drink.

Light red body with a thin, light pink, head. Nose of sour (very sour!) cherries, with a good amount of wood and almond. Taste began with the slightest hint of rasperry and cherry, but the sour immeditely overpowered it, very dry, almondy finish. Wheu, waht a setp from Lindemans! Palate was very clean and quick to finish. I can enjoy it, but its not as pleasureable as Lindemans.

Funky. Dry. Various levels of funk rolled up in this one. Has a slight band-aid aroma to it. Cherries are almost undetectable. The other wild yeast flavors are much more dominate than the underlying sourness.

750 ml bottle. 2007 vintage. Clear, ruby color with a thin, bubbly white head. Aroma of vinegar and cherries. Flavor is really sour and tart. Some hints of cherries with a dash of oakiness. Finish is dry. Very nice.

Bottle (2008). Pours a hazy pink with a small white head. Acidic aroma of oak, vinegar and subtle cherry notes. The flavour is sour and the cherry lingers in the background not so pronounced. Dry and acidic palate with a sour finish.

Bottle (2007). Pours a beautiful translucent rose with a small pink head that fizzles down quickly. Some spotty lacing. Aroma is apple cider vinegar, sour cherries, and I can’t tell much else. Taste is intensely sour even for a lambic. Loads of tart cherries. Watery mouthfeel. Finish is sour. Not my cup of tea but for lambic fans I’m sure this is excellent.
