Nose is bitingly sour and dirty with cherry, earth, and dusty barn. Flavor has loads of fruit in it with some sour barn qualities. Very refreshing. Quite a creamy body and not nearly as crisp as I’d expect. Another nice one from Cantillon. Travlr (776), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Cloudy ruby red. Scant pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries and lemon. Sour cherry taste with musty dryness. Ages extremely well. A classic kriek, in a league of its own. Pinball (2991), Allerød, Denmark

Nice sour finish, with notes of wood, cherries, and funk. Great stuff. 502Flavors (629), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Bottle into snifter. (Thanks to Roger of Rich O’s, who is the man!). This pours a deep rich ruby red – very appealing tone. Its nose and flavor are funky with that tart sour (jolly rancher-like) traditional kriek flavor. Good stuff. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a cherry red with no head. Aromas of funky barnyard yeast, cherries, and......charbroiled meats? Flavors of wild yeast, cherry, fruit. Plate seems a bit thin, but what do I know? Overall a great drinking lambic. Re-rate - this is available at Plonk in Canberra!!! Wow. I want to die from this beer. BeerBelcher (943), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Not as good as the gueuze, but still quite a nice beer. Beautiful appearance. A little more tart than I would have preferred, but not bad.
This beer poured ruby red and opaque, with head of tiny white bubbles contrasting the red body...gorgeous. Aroma was gueuze-like with some barnyard funk. Flavor was just slightly sweet, very tart, but not as fruity as I expected. Mouthfeel was clean but not crisp...lingers in the mouth and throat.
Pretty good, but not as good as the Cantillon Gueuze. I had this at the Cantillon brewery in Anderlecht, in the Brussels suburbs.
