Slightly woody aroma with a hint of yoghurt. Light body with plenty of fine carbonation. Very tart with subtle fruitiness. Interesting complexity in the mid-taste with pear-drops and yoghurt. An acid kick in the finish. A unique and pleasant beer.

This was one of my first Lambics, sampled some years ago at Quinns. I suppose you either love or hate the level of sourness on offer here....I’m leaning towards the former, although am not wholly pants down smitten.
I sampled this with some cave-aged spanish blue and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Drinks like this is what food and drink should be all about....taste sensations that stimulate and make you sit up and take notice, then go back for more. That is why I have definite respect for this bottle of cherry sourness. BelgianBeerGal (1322), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2008 75cl bottle. This was a kick in the taste buds. I swear the aroma had hints of tinned meat, weird? Flavour is a blast of acid, funk and tartness. The cherries appear in the finish. Not really my fave. maybe the acid cools over the years but this was a kick in the shorts. xmarcnolanx (806), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Aroma is tart cherry, very, very acidic.
Taste is bitter, lots of acid, and cherry.
Finish is tart and a touch of slick oak.
Not the most complex Cantillon, but it definitely has the tartness down.
I want to like this more as it has the Cantillon funkiness to it, but it is so straightforward. It is enjoyable, very tart, Cantillon cherry lambic. I can’t describe it any better than that. Ljunkan (399), Karlstad, Sweden
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Updated: Apr 2, 2009Bottle. Pours a aice red color (as with most krieks...); the head is quite small though, and it’s dying.
Aroma is very... lambic-like. Lot’s of acidity-like aromas in there. Some sour cherries. Smells like you now this is gonna be something extra ordinary in the world of lambic!
Flavour is extremely amazing. It’s so tart, sour, acid... whatever you like. Lot’s of sour cherries in there, very complex with notes of bitter cherry stones. Very dry on the palate with quite much carbonation. Refreshing and fantastic.
The best kriek I’ve tried! austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2008 37,5cl bottle, bottled 6/06. Nice ruby, no head. Acidic, tart aroma, sweet cherry with just a little bit of red currant. Flavor is dry, sharply tart and funky. Sadly the nice fruitiness gets lost here. Medium bodied, tangy carbonation. Not among the best krieks. TEJA (294), Stockholm, Sweden

Short foam. The berr have the colour of rose wine. The aroma containes much yeast notes and not to much cherries aroma. The body is thinn and the acidity to unbalanced.

Another bottle tried after 1.5 years of storing. Much better aroma with cherries and almonds. Taste is plesant sour and sparkling with typical sherrie taste. There is still some debrie and clowdy. The cork was also not perfect and a small amount had leaked. jredmond (1068), New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Small bottle poured into my La Fin Du Monde Goblet. The body of this beer is epic - dark ruby red with some sediment at the bottom. Great lacing and some carbonation. Aroma is light sour cherry. Taste is somewhat watery, very very sour mouth feel, and a sour finish.
