Cherry aroma with lots of funky vinegar and some subtle sweetness. Funky vinegar and cherry flavor with very little sweetness and a bitter finish. Not bad, but has that bile flavor that a lot of sour beers have that I don’t particularly care for. pete4999 (159), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Bottle, 2009 vintage, held in storage for about 2 months. Pours a deep cherry red with a slight pink/white head. Looks almost pink around the edges but a dark red in the center. Smells like a red wine....fruit, vinegar. Extremely dry and sour. Most of the people I was drinking it with didn’t really like it. The beer reminded me of a cherry-flavored sour patch kid....it was compared to a beer/wine combo by some friends - the combination and crisper mouthfeel of a beer with the sour taste and dry finish of a red wine. I enjoyed it. Soonah (970), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

The aroma cherry, light funk, pepper and spice. The flavor was cherry and pepper with some funk sliding in. A touch of vinegar as it warmed. Thin body, dry finish. OK. Not great. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 16, 2009 No head and a strong dark cherry aroma. Very sour, kind of fun to watch my wife pucker up when she tasted this. The taste is that of a sour black cherry with a long-lingering aftertaste. wkalle (116), Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Bottled 2006, opened 2009: Pours dark red with only a minimum head. Cherries and currant in aroma. Cheriies with an intense acidity and tartness in flavor with a long lasting finish. Totally flat, but it’s an elegant sipper. Ygberg (108), Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2009 A nose of cherries, almonds and soap. Taste is of cherries, grass, anis and soap. As always with cantillon, the sourness is overpowering. Finish is dry. Overall, this is a good kriek with a nice fruitiness. maupie (624), Roosendaal, Netherlands
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2009 After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light red foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass.
The beer has a clear red color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is light hoppy bitter with a fruity touch. This beer smells to light acid.
