Poured from a 750 ml bottle, vintage 2007. Cloudy ruby red pour. Still acidic body. Soft tannic fruit aroma. Light wet grassiness. Laid back funk; gym socks, compost, cheese. Big funky fruit flavor and dry, pungent cheese stink underneath. Bloody acidic citrus juice texture; wisps of tangy cherry vinaigrette and violently dry pomegranate arils before the finish, where a long, dusty sharp funk extends slowly. Lovely balance of punchy and calm; confronting and simple at the same time. Thanks Eric!

Bottle. Pours a deep ruby red with a small pink head. Nose is sour cherry. Taste is a heavy sourness up front and cherry sweetness in the back...Good stuff, very good stuff.

Ruby slipper red with the slightest carbonation. Nose is strongly tart, with a sniff causing the jowls to tighten. Highly acidic in the mouth, with a slight sweetness from the cherry. Tough to drink on its own, this beer calls for an equally opinionated cheese to add some balance.

0.33l bottle from Evil Eye Lounge, York. Pours a vivid red, not as dark as other krieks. Medium head lasting quite a while. Smell is cherries and citrus. Taste is much the same, cherry taste is clear with a strong background of lemon making it pretty sour, then a long sour finish. A bit too sour for my tastes but ok for sipping.

Deep nearly ruby pour tiny whisp of pink head, will streak the glass while drinking. Very mild aroma sweet cherries a touch of wet blanket and very earthy. Palate is avg body w/ a great coating and firm tartness. Flavor is very tart cherry some light leathers the dry woody characters bret comes through in the finish sucking the moisture right off my tongue. Very well blended tastes. Good but I wasn’t in love with this.

Pours an orangey-pinkish-red with a bit of light pink lacing. Sweet and sour aroma of cherries - almost like pie filling. Intense sour taste of cherries that picks up a bit of sweetness as it goes. Lingering sourness that fades a bit quickly. Very nice taste.
