Pours off red with thin head. Aroma is very sour and slight cherries. Flavor is holy shit it’s sour, from having the gueze recently it’s sour and tart like the gueze with the funky yeast flavor to it but the cherries make it extremely tart and probably the tartest beer I’ve ever had. The cherries were defnitely fermented because this beer is very dry and may be sour and tart but not in a sugary way. Almost soapy taste I also got from the gueze but damn it is just way too damn tart.

Bottle. Aroma is luscious, extremely tart and acidic. Touch of vinegar under the fruit. Strawberry red body with light carbonation and a short white head. Taste is wholly unexpected - mouth-puckering, eye-squinting sourness, aggressively tart and acidic. And extremely dry. Touch of vinegar under the extremely robust sour cherries. Acidity lingers long in the aftertaste, with a slight metallic ring left on the lips. Totally extreme and unadulterated - yet a little too extreme. Experiences of this intensity are easy to recall, years later.

Bottle sampled. Pours red with a small pinkish head. Aroma of fermented cherries, funky yeast, sourness. The flavor is sweet upfront, cherries, dust, with an acidic tart finish. Good brew.

Bottle. Clear ruby red with a small, pink head. Aroma was funky horse blanket with tart cherries. Tasted tangy fruit and mostly sour. Very nice. Funk forever.

Tasted 9/10/06 as part of Cantillon tour. Poured from a75cL bottle into a Cantillon snifter. Bright pink in color, not the usual reddish tone. Aroma is almost sweet? Almost no carbonation, forget about foam. Cherry flavor almost dominates flavor profile? What gives Jan? "This bottle is only 2 months old, the sweetness will fade in few months" Ah, pity me for getting fresh lambic. IIf given the choice, I’ll take it with at least a couple more months in the bottle.

2003 bottle, rated May 2007. Red with a pink head. Earthy and vinegar aroma, with leather and cherry. Really acidic flavour, with as much wood as there is cherry. Excellent kriek, but I think it may be better a little fresher.
