Aroma of cherries, strawberries, sour fruit candy, and vinegar. Strong, sharp, sour flavors of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. A slight hint of vinegar--very acidic. Very crisp and juicy mouthfeel, but with an amazingly dry finish. Mouth-watering stuff... can’t wait to get my hands on more from Cantillon... charlotte (2036), Vanløse, Denmark

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 24, 2007 12 oz bottle from Sam’s. Just a beautiful looking lambic with just the perfect amount of carbonation and lacing. aroma is of fresh cherries, oak, horseblanket. Velvety smooth, yet adequately tart and sour, with sour cherry bubble yum, warhead, and vinegar accents. A little vinous at times but overall a very creamy mouthfeel with a thick yet gentle body. This is hard for me not to love. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 18, 2007 A pretty nice take on a kriek lambic, pouring with a nice attractive garnet or ruby color, nice pinkish head that had good retention (well carbonated beer). [I’m ignoring the cork pieces that ended up in this little sucker, despite being able to curse those folks at Cantillon for a bogus cork.] The aroma was funky funk funk horseblankets, bret, and tart cherries. Flavor followed suit, mouthfeel nice and crisp, boy was this tart and sour, took longer than a few sips to get used to. Poperinge (359), Cowtown, Alberta, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Trade from Ross, thanks bud! Bottled 2005. Pours a hazy cherry color with little head. Aroma is is of horse blanket, tart cherries, must, and hay. Definitely an interesting aroma. Taste is sour cherries, light wood and tannins from the cheeries. This is a very vinuous mouth puckering beer but it was quite an enjoyable experience from the legendary Cantillon Brewery.
