| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 30, 2008 Sampled at Heritage Liquors Inauguration beer tasting in Maplewood, Minnesota. Shaed by Joebrew, from a 750 ml bottle pours a dark ruby red and fizzy brew with a thick and fizzy pink head that slowly dissipates to a thin film and off-white ring. Aroma of tart raspberries, barnyard funk, yeast, and a touch of lemon. Taste is spritzy, medium bodied with semi-tart raspberries, citrus zest, some herbal spice and a touch of white vinegar. Finish has a tart berry aftertaste that the carbonation can really do a number to your nose. Another fine fruit lambic from Cantillon badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Dark pink color with very little head. The nose is incredible. Like jamming your face into a fresh basket of raspberries. Now smash them with your fist to turn them to juice, and that’s pretty much what it tastes like. Very tart. You know how some fruit beers are very obviously made with fruit syrup or an extract? This tasted so loaded with fresh fruit, I swear I could even taste the little seeds on the raspberries. Lightly soured wheat and malt base helps balance it out. Very, very good. 2001 Vintage; tasted 7/4/08: Murky brown color with no head. Massive raspberry and strawberry aroma. Tart, very tart fruit taste. A little hay and wheat. The raspberry flavor is unbelievable. I can almost feel the raspberry seeds getting stuck in my teeth. yespr (12415), Copenhagen O, Denmark
