Man, I’ve never smelled anything like this before. Huge sour nose, but it was earthy and dank, lots of mustard notes, some slight berry fruit and a surrounding tartness. Big sour and mustardy taste, woody, and reminding me of balsamic vinegar, but better. Unique amongst the few sours I’ve had. This has 6 plus years on it? Wow, that goes to show I have no idea of the effect of age on lambics. A bit pungent for me, but damn this was incredibly unique! xmarcnolanx (793), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Finish is bitter and acidic. Jesus, this is somewhat simple, but fucking amazing. Beer of the night.

For the first time for more than a year I had problems swallowing the entire bottle of a Cantillon. Was like someone had forgotten it in the cellar letting it maturing for some years more. It didn’t get bad, just more challenging. But I wasn’t "old" enough. mar (1846), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 31, 2007 From bottle vintage 2004 - Pours a dark reddish color, with a half finger of white fizzy, very carbonated head, that dies down pretty quick. Nose of barnyard, yeast, some country malt, pretty average for a lambic. Taste is nice, tart, fruity, rasberries. Palate is medium bodied, astringent, and quiet bitter at the end. All together very enjoyable lambic. Helped bring in 2008! BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Clear crisp raspberry aroma. Slightly perfumed, fruity and acidic taste. Fruity, both raspberry and cherry too. Alas missing a little of the lambic body I like so much.
