Very funky on the nose, with notes of barnyard, earth, faint sweet cherry, and latex paint. Mellow and light bodied in the mouth with more cherry (pits and all), lemon rind, and wood. It strikes a nice balance between lactic and citric sourness. Perhaps my least favorite of the Cantillon Lou Pepe series, but still fine stuff. arrogantb (710), Denver, Colorado, USA

Wonderful pink color with a head that looks amazing for all the three seconds it lasts upon being poured. Smells only slightly farm-like. Tastes like tart cherry lambic, delicious. Not nearly as acidic as the regular Cantillon kriek and is much easier to drink.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2009 2004 bottle. Dark ruby hue with spritzy pink head that gradually dissipates. Aroma of cherry pie, berries, pie crust, acetic sourness, and funk. Flavor is sour cherries and berries, some wood and vanilla tones, finishes with slight mouth-puckering sweet tart sensation. Medium-bodied, watery smooth texture, and lively carbonation. A nice fruity sour ale with lively mouthfeel, the sourness dissipates leaving a pleasant cherry syrup aftertaste. Pours a reddish cherry color, very cool poor with a small pinkish red head. The nose is just crazy with hints of cherry, alot of vineagar but not as much as I expected. Also some vanilla, alot actually and some funky brett. WOW this thing is motherpuckering in a good way. Very complex, cherry skins, acidic with some strong funky cheese notes and a vanilla end with a pure cherry jam finish. This is a heck of an amazing beer. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

But the flavor is just about as much as you want. Sour strawberries and awesomeness. Not quite worth the price, but definitely sexy. Beer2000 (1828), Kristiansand, Norway
