May 21, 2008 Bottle shared by theisti. Pours a raspberry red with a thin pinkish head. The aroma is a super tart cherry; dry as a bone with no detectable sweetness whatsoever. Medium-bodied and just as tart as the nose telegraphed. Finishes dry and puckering. Tart cherries and yeasty funk. This is uber-sour and satisfying. It’s so tart, I think my head is caving in... May 19, 2008 750 ml purchased mail order from Liquor Max in Loveland, Colorado. This was the 2005. Pour is strawberry red with a 1 inch pink head. Aroma of wild funky yeastiness and cherry fruitiness. Very sweet, tart and sour in the nose. Taste is super tart, lemon citrus and whole bunch of cherry sourness. Really tart, really nice. The sourness is intense and biting. Palate holds everything together nicely, the flavors were very well melded in this beer, and nothing really dominated, including the tartness.

May 18, 2008 On tap at Monk’s. Pours red. Just red. Served with no head. The nose is rich tart cherries, with a bit of a earthy note. Very rich cherry flavor. Kind of a big body. High carbonation. Dry tart finish. Nice stuff.

May 18, 2008 2005, 75cl bottle. Deep ruby red, small pink head. Nose is sweet cherries, tart red currants and mild woody notes. Flavor is earthy red currants and cherries, seedy tartness and little vanilla (!) spiciness. Amazing fruitiness. It seems I keep finding my new favorite Cantillon with every bottle sampled.

May 16, 2008 (2005 vintage, draught at Pikkulintu on 2008-05-15) Deep dark red colour. Pink medium sized head. Sour nose contains lot of cherries and cherry stones. Sour and acidic palate. Cherries in flavour. Some bread. Soft aftertaste. Great.

May 13, 2008 750ml - 2001 sticker - 1000th rating - Aroma has lots of barnyard funk, animals and everything that goes along with them. Then the cherry kicks in, dark and lush. Pours deep garnet with a medium pink head and great lacing. Flavor is dark cherry with a healthy dose of funk. Palate is mouthwatering sour, dry and super tart. I was a little worried since this was sitting on a shelf at a local store for 6 years, but it was awesome. Did I mention sour?
