| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 17, 2008 bottle from brewery. pours blood cherry red, aroma is all sourness with a tinge of candy and cherry. Very smooth mouthfeel, I’d say medium, with a buttery smoothness and nice sourness. Not too sweet. VERY nice. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 16, 2008 1999 bottle and 2005 draft at Monks cafe. Pours to a very nice red color with a medium head. Aroma is powerfully sour and sweet/funky - more funk and smoothness in the 99, A bit more cherry in the 05. Taste has a similar difference - the 05 is very much a fruit flavored lambic, while the 99 is quite well rounded, sour, and earthy. Great mouthfeel here and a finish that lets you know you’re drinking a world class beer. Brilliant stuff. 1999 version certainly wins out, but this is a treasure at any age. wj94 (64), Virginia, USA

Pours opaque ruby red with small head that lingers throughout. Very tart cherries, yeasty funkiness, dry sour finish. Worth $25/bottle? Well, that’s up for debate....but I sure did enjoy this one. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 4, 2008 750ml 2004 (Bottled 2006). It poured dark red with a thin light pink head. Aroma is strong, typical of Cantillon yeast with a nice amount of sour cherries. Taste is very tart, nice sour cherries, cantillon funk, and a little oaky. A bit acidic and it has a very nice dry finish. The 750 was gone before I knew it. I just LOVE Cantillons and this is just stellar as well.
