Nose of ripe cherry, nice cinnamon and maltiness. Nice nose, clean bouqet, nice tart mouthfeel and finish. End balanced, zesty, good. A lot more balanced than their regular kriek, I could drink this one all night. ChristianScheffel (4670), Odense, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy blood red - no head and completely flat. Fresh and fruity aroma with prominent cherries. Thin and somewhat watery body with acidic - but fresh - accents of cherries. Remains sourish all through the finish. 281006 apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

An impressive, brightly colored brew - flamboyantly red with a pink head. There’s no doubt that this is a cherry beer from the aroma: sour, musty cherries prevail. The sourness is not too overwhelming in the flavor, as some of the Cantillon beers are for me. This is a nice balance of tartness, hints of maltiness and plenty of fruitiness. Very good. notalush (2690), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 18, 2006 Huge thanks to JoeMcPhee for sharing this at beastiefan2k’s place - pardon my french, but this beer is the shiznit! (I know, not the greatest word to describe such a refined beer) - beautiful red body with a slight purple hue to it - the aroma has the customary Cantillon funk, with damp oak, cherries, of course (pits and all) - very mild sourness for a Cantillon, complimented by a very subtle sweetness and acidic cherry flavor - later in the flavor, and all through the finish, there are some warming, almost Christmas-like spices that I couldn’t really identify, but they made the beer even more delicious - I will have to shell out the money for another bottle so I can spend more time figuring out what makes this beer so great. gunnfryd (3615), Kristiansand, Norway

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2006 2003 bottle. Beautiful dark cherry red with pink dissapating head. Sour aroma of cherry, citrus and that Cantillon funky smell. Mouth-watering flavor, oak, cherry, sourness, vinegar and dry. Quite intense. A sticky cherry sweetness lingers. Thin and a bit watery while remaining complex.
