What vintage was this? Bugger it! Deep red colour. Rich aroma, big on cherries and almond paste, almost like glue. Not as sour as the Cantillons I know. Big vineous flavour, where the Scharbeekse cherriesd add a deep dry sensation. Body is light, but oh so fluffy! WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

The aroma is extremely tart and cherry. The taste is sour and tart and oh so good. Every sip is full of an insane amount of flavor. Aroma is cherry, with a bit of pie crust, sourness, smells like a black cherry basically. Body is rich mohaganey with a thin pink head on top. Taste is very tart, with cherries, a bit doughy with the sourness and pie crust once again shows up. Complex beer that as drink more brings out balance but still maintains expectations. oh6gdx (8948), Vasa, Finland

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 29, 2006 (label says 2001 vintage, cork says it was bottled in 2002) after i removed the bottle cap, there was a little liquid on the cork (which was soft) but this didnt seem to effect the beer. poured hazey deep red with good carbonation. Funky barnyard aromas noted before i even bring this to my nose. nose is oaky, dry sour cherries, vinegar. Flavor is more funky cherries, with notes of oak on the palate. Sourness is not as intense as its sister (the lou pepe frambroise) but equally enjoyable. Thanks to hopistotle420 for this gift bottle. Amazing stuff. gnoff (3573), Göteborg, Sweden
