Neon red, plentifull fine bubbles, nice pink head cover.
Wooden, leathery, light metallic notes.
Not too heavyhanded on the cherry, soda, almonds.
Sparkly mouthfeel, light body.
Medium dry exit. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA

Very sour nose with hints of lemon, brett, cherry, and vanilla. Extremely tart, dry, with tannic and oaky notes and traces of cherry. Fantastic, refreshing stuff, an effect not unlike super-concentrated cherry lemonade depleted of any sickly-sweetness. willblake (2189), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Dark pink pour, very dark like a pomegranate juice, with dark pink head. Aroma is fruity, cherries with plum and apple, and light musty wood. Flavor is boldly sour but not so funky, lots of cherry (starburst). One of the most pronounced sweet/sour contrasts I’ve had. Very tasty. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA

Taste is intensely sour with good cherry flavor. Almost like an intense sour candy. Had fun with Paul seeing who could drink it without making a face. I don’t think either of us succeeded. stefanberggren (135), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Wow it looks like an odd colored blood entering my glass ! Wonderful aroma emminating from my glass. What a treat this is to sample from a keg ! There is a slight pinkish head/lacing going on that looks beautiful. Latic nose with a faint sour cherry/cherry pit(nuttiness). The first taste is like a bombshell of flavor. Sweet with brett and lactic acidicness that leads into a wonderful cherry undercurrent. SImply wonderful ! tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

So when the guy beside me offered to share his $35 bottle with me, I didn’t complain. When he bought a second, I managed to at least chip in some cash. And I am glad I did. This was dark blood ruby red in the glass, with an intense red head and wonderful lacing - looks amazing. Nice mellow sour and cherry aroma. Taste is incredibly balanced between sourness and cherry. There is an earthy quality to it as well that is quite nice. No hint of age at all. Incredible. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 18, 2005 2005 bottle. Dark red with an orange hue. Fine pink head. Very complex aroma; definitely vinous, aromas of cherries and lemons. Flavour starts with sour cherries, gradually revealing its more mellow ,yet lemony base lambic flavours with almond flavours in the finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. A special occassions beer. bu11zeye (5625), Frisco, Texas, USA
