Bottled. An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and sour with notes of oranges, muscat, wine grapes, and some straw. The flavor is quite sour with strong notes of muscat and grapefruit, combined with a dutsty hoppy note. Sampled this deep down in the cellar of Akkurat October 2005, graciously served by the bars owner Sten - thank you so much!!

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Intense aroma of wood with a fruity sweetness and lots of tart horseblanket. Medium body, astringent acidity and some surprising marzipan notes. Astringent acidity in the finish. A very complex beer. 061008

Bottled. Hazy golden. Concentrated oaky muscat grape aroma. The acidity is less hardcore than in the Reed Pinot Noire. Still the trademark Cantillon style citric acidity is definitely there. Upon it lies the concentrated oaky, vinous muscat character and some cobwebs and barnyard. It’s way more directly appealing and aromatic than the Reed Pinot Noire. Perhaps the big flavours makes it slightly less complex, but it’s still absolutely fantastic. I’d give it 11/10 for aroma if I could....

Bottle 75cl.
[ Vintage 2005 ]. Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light grapes, barnyard, spicy - herbs, peppery. Flavor is heavy sweet, acidic and bitter with a long duration, and sweet dry dry dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft - flat. [250908]

Bottled. Yellowish orange colour, small white head. Aroma of nuts, cantillonish sourness, fruits and actually a bit yeasty too. Flavour is mainly the typical cantillonish, but also has a lot of "wineish" notes as well as fruits and nuts. Very wellbalanced, and the alcohol is not making it’s way so strongly. Still, a 0,75l bottle is quite hard to drink with a 7.5% beer...

Beautiful bottle, at Akkurat, shared with Per
Hazy golden color. Huge aroma, cellar, fruits, grapefruit, dust, delicate flowers. Aggressive mouthfeel, extreme citric acid, still very elegant; a mix of lemon juice and concentrated grapefruit; very astringent at the end.

75cl bottle from Omhper tasted at White Horse, Parson’s Green. Thanks a lot for this one Per. Hazy copper with quickly disappearing head. Sour and woody, but not extreme. This is softer, more balanced than some Cantillon beers. Some tangerine with the normal lemon. Lovely aroma. Not harsh. Sour in mouth, with a grapey flavour. Still sour, but has sweetish grape juice flavour. Good length on finish.
