Bottled. An unclear red beer with a fast disappearing off-white head. The aroma is acidic with strong notes of berries, wine, and tea - as well as a light hoppy note. The flavor is acidic in a wonderful way with notes of acidic grapes, grapefruit, and other unripe fruits. The acidity draws the mouthwater, before a dry end sets in. Lovely. Sampled this deep down in the cellar of Akkurat October 2005, graciously served by the bars owner Sten - thank you so much!!

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy reddish amber golden with a creamy, vaguely pink head. Aroma of almonds and very sour fruit.. Medium body with a pleasant fruitiness and an extreme acidity all through the finish. 061008

Bottled. Cloudy reddish purple, brief head. Underneath the trademark acidic Cantillon aroma there is a mere hint of blueberries and red wine. Heavily acidic witj plenty of citric acid. Very dry. The Pinot Noirs are evident, but in comparison with most fruit lambics they are more subdued. Concentrated citiricity - it feels like one of the most hardcore acidic Cantillons. Some light grape stone bitterness finishes it off. Good and elegant, but perhaps not as extravagant as you might have thought.

Bottle 75cl.
[ Vintage 2005 ]. Unclear light to medium orange red color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is dark grapes, barnyard, sour vinegar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, acitic and acetic (vinegar) with a long long duration. Lovely balance and a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [250908]

Bottled. Hazy amber colour, not much head. Aroma is red grapes and sourness. Slightly barnyardish also. Flavour is strong and dry hay, nuts and grapes. Well done. Grapes and slight hayish notes in aftertaste.

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007, after festival RB night (a sample from Jens’ bottle)
Cloudy red-amber color. Pungent aroma, of the oldest cellar, first, then a confusing mix of fruits: grapes, sour pink grapefruit, lemons…). Thin and dry mouthfeel, one of the most sour I ever had, pure lemon juice, without sugars and of course the astringency sneaks in towards the final; the acidity burns down the guts, beware, not for the faint heart.

Cloudy red with medium off white head. Sour and vinious aroma with barnyard and grape notes. Sour flavour with sour grapes, barnyard, grapefruit and accidid notes. Ends with massive sourness. Beautefull!
