skoisirius (477), Seattle, Washington, USA May 21, 2008 I’ve experienced this on multiple occasions at multiple ages, and once on tap. Every taste has been fantastic, with minor raspberry notes, and a well balanced lambic running the main flavors. Mellows out beautifully after about 4 or 5 years. Yum!
Bhops (200), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2008 Wow... this was not what i was expecting. This was not dry at all. Great cantillon sourness with raspberry flavor, but it was wet! Thoroughly delightful. I wouldn’t think that wetness would be a pleasing thing in a lambic, but it was great. 17thfloor (649), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 20, 2008 [Vintage clue? 08DEC01] Thick syrupy brown vinegar seepage on the top of the cork. Pours a murky grapefruit pink with a lovely white froth. Big raspberry seed aroma with lots of dusty tart yeast as well, phenomenally great pairing. So tangy! intense... lingering raspberry seeds. This stuff is ridiculously sour and acidic. Like drinking raspberry flavored battery acid. nick76 (2038), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 There is raspberry in the aroma but it is overpowered by bathroom, lactic bacteria, wild yeast, and acid. The appearance is raspberry red with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. There is nothing in it to save it. Palidor19 (1285), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 I like nice fruity lambic, but this just too way to sour for me to fully enjoy, the aroma is nice with some nice spring raspberries. The acidity of the beer is wild and intense, expect to pucker. NomDeBeer (149), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 11, 2008 My first lambic . . . WOW. This is a whole new universe of flavor. I didn’t know beer could taste like this. Acid reflux-inducingly sour and acid - this really took me by surprise, but after a while I warmed up to it. Took me a long time to finish this, but it was still enjoyable once I wrapped my palate around it.
