| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 16, 2008 Cloudy red-hued orange. Slightly dusty and strongly tart aroma with traces of earthy funk. Flavor is intensely tart, followed by a touch of raspberry fruitiness and finishes with a slightly dry funk. The sourness is overpowering. It’s a nice deviation from what I normally enjoy, but I would never seek this out. larstangaa (104), Denmark

Cask signs. Hard to rate, when lambic really makes me scream for chocolate and a few glasses of sugar... But compared with other previously tasted lambics (and cousins), I found thos one quite interesting (Tasted at the "BASMOF Nytårskur 07/08 12-01-2008)" joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA

Sam’s Marcey
Bottled 2005
This bottle had zero pfft! when I pulled the cork. Rose de Gambrinus poured a pinkish hue with a flute full of bubbles. A small quarter finger fizzy head formed on the pour and quickly fell to a ring around the glass.
Aroma comes forward with musty raspberries just picked and underripe. The sourness is evident when the smell curls your nose hair. There’s a solid dose of barnyard, mostly musty hay.
Mouth puckering sourness up front is quickly followed by the barnyard mustiness and a slight touch of vinegar. The finish mouth puckering sourness in the form of tart raspberries with a hint of sweetness. Good flavor.
Light body with a light refreshing mouthfeel. The sourness leaves you puckered up but as I swallow I salivate uncontrollably.
This beer actually goes down pretty easy for the intense sourness. Enjoyable for sure but a glass or two is enough for me.
I’ve sampled a couple lambics in the past but they were more of the sweet fruity variety. This is far from that but also enjoyable and a fun expierence.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2008 pale red amber color with a small frothy head. acidic musty grain aroma with a raspberry and sour cherry note. medium body and puckering. sour fruitiness, hay, and pungent floral undertones. not too bad a little acidic could have blended to make it a little smoother. agl108 (509), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured beautiful shade of red with minimal head. Mildly fruity nose. Started extremely tart and sour that diminished as the beer warmed, however, not quite as sour as I was expecting. Poorly carbonated. Not bad, but doubt I would revisit as the style has little drinkability. IlanMan (847), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Purchased at Bodega Brewpub in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A little too sour for my taste. Made me cringe when I drank it. This may be perhaps due to the fact that it was my first sour beer but it was quite the sour beer for my first. I may like it and re-rate it in the future but we shall see. At this time, I would not buy again. Haslinger (666), Syracuse, New York, USA
