750ml capped and corked green bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester. Pours a murky bright red body with a short-lived inch of off-white head. Smells acidic, fruity (raspberries), and just slightly nutty. Tastes like very sour raspberry with the slightest hint of sweetness toward the finish. Vegetal and tea-like at times in the aftertaste. Light to medium in body with light carbonation. Brilliantly sour and complex, just as I expected from Cantillon. A very solid lambic, but only an occasional treat considering the price.

Oct 29, 2008 Draft at Teresa’s next door...Ruby in color, opaque and a slight cloudiness...no head just a little whit on top...sweet and tart raspberry flavor...a light raspberry aroma...its almost on the verge of a sour...quite good...no carbonation and a slightly finish

Oct 19, 2008 Beautiful, brilliant ruby red in color. Poured with no head. Aroma sweetly floral and strongly of raspberries. Raspberry flavor well balanced by the beer’s general sourness, keeping it from being overly sweet. Nice.

Oct 17, 2008 Bottle from La Cave å Bulles, Paris. Not quite as sour as the Kriek from Cantillon. Beautiful light burgandy colored body. Big frothy purple head. You get the incredible sourness first on the tongue, then a waft of sour yeast yeast creeping up the back of the nose. The fruit only flashes at the end. A perfect sipping beer. Amazing.

Oct 13, 2008 lovely sour farmy nose, quite sweet and lovely. gorgeous stuff. hazy red amber. very sour. but incredibly balanced. devinely sour, just as it should be!
