Pours a hazy red, with a nice comfy white head that has hints of red. Smells funky, rasberrys, maybe strawberries. Good so far. Medium mouthfeel, nice carbonation and definitely full of rasberries and even makes ya pucker. Very solid brew, lookin forward to more Cantillon.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Feb 08. Pours an orangey pink, slightly hazy with small head. Falls away pretty quickly leaving minimal lacing. Aromas show a little raspberry, heaps of acidity and just a little funk. Whilst there is a little furit it really is now mainly about the sourness. Sourness once again dominates the flavours with plenty of acidity. A little funk and perhaps a little almond. Mouthfeel is fantasitc. Wonderful, beer. craftbeerdesign (760), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 19, 2009 2006 750ml bottle. the fruit is mostly gone and the pure sourness is in gear... there is a slight tart raspberry aroma, but it is very faint. wonderful sour notes throughout the aroma... along with a noticeable barnyard funk. it pours a hazy orange color with a small off white head... medium body filled with more sour notes from front to back. very tart and lip puckering. some lemon notes cross the mouth as well. very dry and a long sour finish. one of the most sour beers I’ve had... would love to try this one fresh and see how different the raspberry dominance would be. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2009 375 ml corked and capped green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Clear red colour, big pink head. Intense aroma of ripe and sour raspberries. The flavour is very sour and tart, again with notes of sour raspberries. Good stuff, but requires that you like fruit lambics in the first place. Kestral (210), Oslo, Norway
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle at Olympen. Pours a clear, vivid red with a finger of creamy pink head. Aroma is filled with berries, sour berries, more like the stones from raspberries than the juice. Wood, spices and cheeselike funk accent it beautifully. I don’t know if it’s because I just had two glasses of IPA, but after the expected initial lambic vinous sourness, this ends in a gorgeous vanilla berry sorbet or icecream finish. Carbonation is sparkly and lively, body is light, and it’s drinkable and refreshing. Damn. This really hit the spot this evening. The salivatory glands went nuts. Loved it. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2009 On tap. The bartender called this beer "The most temperamental keg pour ever." Which was funny, becasue it took him quite a while to get a good pour. Pours red with a big, fluffy pink head. It does look like fruit punch. Aroma is of raspberry, funk, earthiness, and sugar. Taste is of sweet raspberries, earthiness, a very tart funkness, and cherry. Has a very sugary underlying taste. It is very dry, almost like a wine. Lingering taste of cherry sourness. I really enjoyed it, but it is damn sure dry. lamas (728), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Bottled: 03/26/09. Ruby red pour with a thick quartz head. Funky, yeasty, sour aroma with some vinegar, athlete’s foot encrusted socks, cheese, lemons, and an assortment of tart berries. Full-bodied, syrupy, and a touch sticky. The flavor starts off with plenty of tart berries. A mouth-puckering sour lemon and vinegar finish. A yeasty funkiness is evident throughout. Definitely interesting. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Rich red with the foamy pink head. Nose is Cantillon all the way, stinging brett in leather, hay, and wild grass, but here, it is cut by juicy fruit, probably raspberry but the sugar and softness suggests some strawberry as well. The flavor shows a similarly sweet fruit note, strawberry and citrus padding some of the traditional Cantillon bite. Full bodied and prickly, finish giving off more berry and earth that continue on. Great stuff, as expected, particularly if you think that fruit lambics can get too drawn out and citric. foodtraveller (31), Belgium
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Had a bottle from 2007. Fruit was a bit there but not much. The beer is powerful, sour and with a strong manure smell. Reminds a bit of wine in its flavors and complexity. Not bad, but not something for everyday. And somewhat expensive (and i live in belgium).
