Yogi_Beera (2404), Hamburg, Germany Jan 26, 2006 This is sooo amazing - thanks a lot Jacob and Dixen. Beautiful deep red color, flat looking of course no head. The nose greats from far away - dark grapes, barnyeard, some pine and iron. Puckers the chops, leathery and dusty -. Wonderful forever lasting dry finish. pivo (2488), Germany Jan 27, 2006 Funky nose typical of Cantillon. You can identify this as a Cantillon without having tried it. Rust color with no head. Sweet front with a grape fruitiness. Tart, sour and puckering. Medium body. Extremely sophisticated tastes and blend. Just phenomenal! Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Jul 14, 2005 Bottled. Deep red coloured. The unblended version of Saint Lamvinus is even more vinous than the regular just like Stene wanted. Sour, fruity, dry and rather woody. It is softer and smoother due to the lack of carbonation. Very nice. radiomgb (1776), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 28, 2006 750ml bottle at the Akkurat in Stockholm, Sweden. Deep ruby in colour, no head, no lacing. The aroma is of tart red grapes, light cherries, quite sour. The flavour is tart at first, some fruit sweetness (cherries, grapes, some pear), woody, not as sour as other Cantillons can be. Mildly sour mouthfeel, medium body, very low-to-no carbonation. Finishes with a lingering sourness, light fruit sweetness, quite dry. Fantastic stuff, a very interesting take on the regular Saint Lamvinus. I’m loving these Unblended Lambics. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 10, 2005 Vinous, funky, fresh and fruity aroma. Opaque burgundy body is quite still and wine-like. Funky, farmhouse flavours are here but seem refined into a wine-like character despite the strong acidity. Medium body is very dry. Bottle sampled at RBESG 2005.
