| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark rose-red color with a medium sized pink head. Aroma is funk, cherries, vineous, oak. Flavor is dark tart cherries, oak, grapes, barnyard, lemon. Palate is medium light, medium to high carbonaton, tart, dry finish. This is a really fantastic brew. Tons of tartness and refreshing acidic fruit flavors make this an excellent summer brew. That being said, it’s way too pricey for me, glad I got to try it, but won’t be doing it again any time soon. I think their whole line up is fantastic, so you can’t go wrong at any price point. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Updated: Dec 11, 2007Light ruby body with a very short-lived head. Nose is woody and funky. Taste is dry, very dry. Supposedly aged with grapes in oak barrels, the barrels is a lot more predominant than the grapes. All kinds of dry woods on the tongue. The beer is indeed fruity but the flavour is not particularly focussed on grapes. More of a general “red” fruits flavour (grapes, cherries, berries, etc.). Some acidity but nowhere near the level of their Gueuze. In this case it is the woody dryness and not the acidity that makes it a sipper. I prefer their more standard and cheaper products but this is truly an excellent beer with its own personality. Its only problem is its stiff price tag. At only 5% it could be an everyday beer, but at $20/bottle… ouch! It’s not that I would mind being poor as long as it doesn’t prevent me from having a lot of money. Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Aroma: wonderful, complex, rosen, perfume, malty, sourish, old, musty, rich, grapy, fine bath bombs, cherry sweetness, tulips.
Appearance: really dark cherry red with quickly fading pink foam. Very nice. Opaque.
Flavour: initially soft, grape flavour. Sexy sourishness, vague sweetness, well balanced & very elegant. Vinous, lactic aftertaste.
Palate: powerful but incredibly soft and smooth. Frighteningly smooth. Distinct but nice carbonation. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

Considerable barnyard aroma. Flavor has lots of cherry and light oak. Raw grape flavor. Acidic and sour, but the cherry is still there. Bright, Burgundy color. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Thank to Joebrew for sharing. Dark red pour iwth a delicious sour nose. Dry body with hints of oak, cherry, grape, and barnyard. Sourness almost had a lemon tinge to it for me. A most excellent pour. Ughsmash (4099), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Bottled. Poured medium rose with a very nice initial cap of light pink head. Aroma was of soft vinous notes accenting some dusty barnyard funkage.. lemon and vinegar in there as well. In the flavor, tart vinegar washed over the front of the tongue with wheat and lemon-accented dust across the middle.. hint of sweetness along with the tart, lemony-vinous finish. The tartness was not too aggressive, and the overall balance was superb.. well-integrated barrel characteristics. Great one! thebeertourist (2838), Oslo, Norway
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Bottle. Hazy, orangey red with a light pinkish head that disappeared completely. Woody nose, lemony lambik in the background, just a hint of other fruit. Good lemony lambik flavours, fruit is more pronounced in the mouth and marries well with the lambik. The wood comes in especially towards the dry finish. Another great invention from Cantillon. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2007 750ml bottle. 2006 bottle. Aroma: Very vinous with a strong dose of dry red grapes. Nice sourness with a bit of red wine vinegar. Dusty funk with some light cheese. Oak comes out more as it warms. Appearance: Pinkish-red in color and quite hazy. Light pink head was small and rocky with good retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Very fruity with vinous grapes being the star. Nice tart sourness. Oak and funk hit me at the same time. Funk is dusty/cobweb with a fairly strong cheesiness. Dry finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Pricey but worth it.
