Bottle, ruby pink with a huge foamy pinkish head. A subtle red wine aroma with a touch of tamarillo. Sour and tart with a long tart finish. Definitie red wine flavours with some tannin. Brilliant.

Bottle. Weird "cellar"-aroma, smoke and cigar. Sour, great taste with fresh lambic, wheat and grapes. Good.

Of all the beers on RateBeer, this St. Lamvinus is arguably the closest to wine. And it tastes like it with a hint of grapiness imparted from the Burgundy barrels. Very tart, though less so than Cantillon’s other lambics. Pink in color. Complex.

Cork says 2004. Pours ruby red into a tumbler. Pink micro head quickly recedes to skim surface. Red grape and funk aromas. Tart sulphur up front and crisp with a lasting sour burgundy finish.

Red with a pink head. Aroma full of berries and some champagne. Very dry, slightly bitter and a hint of oak.

From a 750mL Bottle. Pours a rich, burgundy mahagony with a light layer of pinkish head. Tart raspberry aromas mingle with sour pinot noir grapes and some soft oaky vanilla tones. Crisp, sour mouthfeel with a prickling carbonation feel. Loads of fresh, tart, under-ripe dark fruit flavors dance on the palate. More tart berry flavors and some sour raspberry seeds tickle my tongue before finishing in a dry, woody smack.

Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Clear, red beer with a pink head. Yeast, mould, sourness and berries in the aroma. Yeasty flavor with barnyard-notes. Astringent, thin body and a stinging finish. A nice, teeth-cleansing beer, but as usual with lambics I have troubles describing it, but really love it. (061028)
