The sweatiest cantillon so far. Aroma is wet hay and sheep, wit fruity cherry hints and some grassy hop too. Taste is unblended with nutty characters and the grapes are stubtle but there. Intresting but not my fav from cantillon.

Bottle: Courtesy of Sprinkle via trade. Sour tart aroma with light grape and moderate woodiness. Pours a cloudy orangish-pink with a minimal white head that fades to nothing very quickly. Outstanding sour tart flavors with just a hint of grape in the background. Nice dry woody finish. One of my favorite Cantillons.

Bottle 2005. Dark red beer with a lightish head. The aroma is quite vinous, warm, spiced and cherry/strawberry fruits. The flavour is quite sour and bitter with a warm fermented mouth feel. Overall a reasonable beer.

Brown bottle, purchased on January 30, 2006, best before 12/2009; eye: red with salmonish reflections, rosish head made up of small champagne-like bubbles, head falls rapidly to leave a ring around the glass, clear, light effervescence; nose: sour, "fresh", wine, cherry, citrusy, green apples, vanilla, balsamic vinegar; mouth: starts with its sour side, followed by cherries and grapes, some tartness, finale of a good length with lots of green apples and a resurgence of sourness at the very end, lost of saliva produced, lightly sweet, midly sour, medium body, free-flowing, nice carbonation; overall: enjoyed quite a bit FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 750 ml, acheté le 30 janvier 2006, meilleure avant 12/2009; oeil : rouge avec des reflets saumon, mousse teintée de rose formée de petites bulles rappelant le champagne, mousse qui s’affaisse rapidement pour laisser un petite anneau autour du verre, claire, légère effervescence; nez : sure, frais, vin, cerises, citrique, pommes vertes, vanille, vinaigre balsamique; bouche : commence par son côté sure, suivi de cerises, puis apparation de son côté aigrelet et acidique, finale de bonne durée en pommes vertes avec une recrudescence surette à la toute fin, beaucoup de salive en bouche, légèrement sucrée, moyennement sure, corps moyen, coulante, bonne carbonatation; en résumé : bien aimé

Rosy top in the look here, deeper burgundy beneath, under absolutely no head...par for style, though... Aroma: bracing, yet invigorating, a blast of cherries and grape, twisted by sour...musty, rank, and deep...liking it...a deep well, dominated by fruit. Delectable. Taste it, already! Oooo! Weeee! Owww! Bold, huge, fat puckeration,...ooo, ooo, ooo! Takes hold of the mouth and doesn’t let go! A blend of dark fruits, cherries, and berries, and grapes. Luscious. Sour and flavorful. Mellows a touch, gets easy as we go, gets easier to take.. Not for everyone, but a particular treat for demanding palates, constant play on the tongue that is rewarding for some, punishing for others. Hard to compare this to anything else on earth. Far beyond any other lambic, a definitive sui generis classic. 2004 bottling. too young? who’s to say. worth the $33 spent? probably...
