Bottle. Thanks to someone at the Indy Circle City Samplers rate party. Pours a hazy pink color. Aroma of tart vinegar with strong cherry notes. Flavor is quite sour, this makes the mouth water for more. This was crazy on the palate. Wish I had more of this.

Rosé lambic with a light cherry and lactic acid aroma. Dry cherries in mouth with strong sour notes, very puckering and definitely classic. Rich and complex, with cheese-like qualities. Medium bodied. Sampled at Quintessence Cantillon 2005.

This seems to have taken on the color of the wine that originally aged in the oaken barrel, a rich Burgundy. The head is bubbly, pink, and soon gone. The aroma is of tart grapes, used pencil erasers, and old sneakers. Oddly, the combination works. More one-dimensional than other Cantillon lambics that I’ve had, this has the flavor of sour grapes alone, very acidic, and very refreshing in the finish. Not bad at all.

Red colour, thick diminishing head. Fruity, rubber-ish nose. Sour flavour from dark fruits. Really refreshing. Pleasant acidity in finish. Somewhat vinous.

vintage 2002. the second cantillon in my beer career, it’s great!! looks amber/ reddish with a fizzy disappearing head. smells like rotten fruits, barnyard and classic horseblankets. great sour balsemic vinegar and sour grapes taste. finishes long acidic dry tart and full of tanine. what a great sipper, just great.

Ketchup, Rotting fruit, grapes, jelly, roast beef(?!), burlap, and barnyard in the nose. Not quiuit as sour as expected with a load of fresh medium sour grapes. Jammy with a lemon tartness that lets a touch of olive come through. Finished zesty with more grapes.

wow, it’s been 4 months since I’ve had a Cantillon. it’s time! color is ruby amber, off white dense foamy head. aroma is horseblanket, sour concord grape, and a little balsalmic vinegar. flavor is sour and tart but still mellow. not much fruit flavor. clean finish.

Devils night at Mullmans. Pours a dirty deep pink with an initial head but fades. Aroma is wine-like, lots of fruit, hints of sulfur, some brett and lactic acid. Flavor has a light fruitiness to it with a moderate sour backbone, although not nearly as sour as some other Cantillons. Finishes a bit tart, acidic and dry. It seems like some of the harsh sulfite content has gone down since the last time I had this over a year ago.
