Aroma of lemon, cider, brett, socks, cheese, wood, lightly vinous. Slightly less sourly acidic (only slightly!) than most Cantillons, and with an extra layer of woody complexity. Superb dry finish. Gorgeous. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Alluring clear cherry-amber hue with a sudsy, effervescent off-white head. Aroma of barnyard, sweat, cranberries, and sharp acidity. Flavor follows the cranberry theme, basically tasting like sour grapes, with substantial oak character. Super dry with palate-scouring sharp acidity. This is an amply sour, yet somewhat soft and interesting lambic. Later sampled on draught at Capone’s in Norristown, which was also a pleasant experience.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 22, 2005 It had one of those aromas you have to think about carefully: hard to put into words. At first I thought there was a definite fruity sweetness, but then I wasn’t so sure, as a sour cidery note prevailed. Colour was a cloudy dark red, nearly purple. Short-lasting rosy head. Taste was sharply sour and fruity with a long bitterness at the finish. Unusual, thought-provoking, enjoyable. sayravai (3781), Helsinki, Finland

Tart and fruity aroma and flavor with wood and cherry hints. Medium-bodied, white-wineous, balancedly tart palate with quite low carbonation. A very enjoyable and refreshing, tart and balanced brew. madsberg (5065), Søborg, Denmark

Wood, sourness, light barnyard and loads of berries in the nose. Flavour is quite sour with a light sweet touch to balance. Quite acidic and dry. Raspberries notable. Ends on a very dry fruity sournote. Quite drinkable and interesting. pilsnerrogge (1793), Finspång, Sweden

Intense barnyard and "fruits of the forest" aroma. Intensely sour flavour, lemons with notes of raspberries and blackcurrants. Overpowering and delightful at the same time. fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA
