Apr 27, 2005 Updated: Jan 6, 2006Rouge rubis d’une intense luminescence, faible mousse blanche légèrement rosé. Nez très typique de Cantillon, brettanomyces ainsi qu’une très franche acidité allant vers le citron. En fait les premiers arômes sont beaucoup plus citronnés que raisins. Tartrique et sèche à en faire grincer les dents. Les fruits rouges sont définitivement présents à leur naturel et se mélangent bien au bois ainsi qu’à la caractéristique amené par les levures sauvages. On y reconnaît facilement le cépage utilisé (Cabernet Sauvignon) mais en version légère rosé plutôt qu’en rouge vineux concentré. Certainement une de mes Cantillons préférés.

Apr 24, 2005 Huge thanks to DavidP for sharing this one. Pours a dark berry (purple) color. Somewhat hazy appearence. Aroma is grapes, and lambic funk. Flavor is more berries, wine notes, along with the "lambic funk" flavor. Not my style, but a nice take on it.

Apr 23, 2005 Dark red hazy colour, almost no foam. Deep and acidic aroma of grapes, tanins, red currant and wood. Wonderfull flavour of blue grapes and cask. Sour aftertaste. Damn good, altough I’m not a wine drinker.

red purple in color no real head. Smells like crap & old barn lots of bitternes.. Palate is supremly sour and carbonady w/ no real body. Flavor is VERY VERY sour hints of elderberry & blackberrty and grassy hopps but not very good. Overall I’d never drink this again but I thank dave for putting up the $30 a bottle to share it with me.

Apr 16, 2005 Thanks DavidP, bottled in 2003!!!! Man, a $30 bottle??!?!?!? Wow. Props to you! Appearance: elderberry juice color. white bubbly thin head. Aroma: cobwebs, barnyard, red grapes, elderberry, blackberry, a bit sour. Flavor: holy toledo this sucker’s sour!!! Sour grapes, elderberry, tartness in a bottle. Palate: sour. I like it though.

Apr 3, 2005 Thanks to Sammy for this one! This looks absolutely beautiful. Purple with a reddish head. Grapey funky sour nose. Barnyard goodness. Sour and earthy, tart grapes. I can’t describe. Super sour almost fake grape finish. Wow.

Mar 19, 2005 Ruby colored & glimmering with a halo of bigger bubbles and a lone island of much smaller ones...Aroma had funky, grassy sourness alongside grape & soft leather..Flavors of grape fruitiness and solid sour background..subtle cheesiness but the funk is restrained by the grape notes...carbination a tad lower than desired...with some residual grape sweetness lurking about..Quite nice, but not as complex as could be.
