Draft at Memphis tap room. Pours a maroon body with a thin lacing. Very nice vinous tannic character, lightly woody with a balsamic vinegar body. Tart dry fruity and mildly funky. Awesome beer! I enjoyed this significantly more than from a bottle.

Bottle from Butters. Pours an opaque brown body with hints of purple. Smells of rubber, sourness, and some red wine notes. Sour flavor with a note of wine to it. Horrible. For what it is, it is good.

Crushed with Jakebra and co. Thanks to the dude who picked this one up. Sour, tart, fruit, funk. A beautiful lambic. Can’t say anything that somebody hasn’t already. It was quite awesome. That’s all I got.

750 ml bottle that was bottled 25 Oct 2006 purchased at EZ Liquors. Pours a rose color with a small bubbly whiteish head that quickly and totally diminshes. Super tart aroma with notes of wet leather, funkyness, rose petals, yeast. Medium body with strong carbonation. Flavor is very tart from acidic citrus notes, floral petals, slight woodiness, some grapes as well. This is some seriously drinkable lambic but at close to $30 a bottle and easily accessible I’m not sure when I will be buying one of these again.

Rating #1800 ~ Bottled 2004. Pours as a color cross of rose, bronze and orange with no head to mention. The aroma has a dull sourness, dry red wine, lemony, fairly rough / grainy and some wild yeast. Medium body that starts out lightly rough then smoothes out and is velvety until the finish when it seems a bit grainy - very interesting how the palate feel progressed. The flavor starts with smooth and sour citrus and red wine dryness. The finish is clean, dry, sour and a bit funky. Very nice lambic.

Spuyten Duyvil. 2006 Vintage. Poured a hazy red color with a pink head. The aroma was tart with strong leather and horse notes. Yes! The flavor was tart and woody with vinous notes. Dry finish and light body. Woody and oxidized sherry aroma. Some cherry in the flavor. Dry with an acidic burn in the throat.

37.5cl bottle from ølbutikken, bottled 2005, tasted feb. 2009, 3-4 yrs old. clear red with a sall slightly offwhitepinkish head that lasts for a minute. aroma of blue cheese, barnyard, sour beer, red fruits, grapefruit juice, the barnyard and cheese way less agresive than the lambic vinesomething i sampled earlier today. very sour flavor, well balanced, i get sour, citrussy flavors, wild yeast. aftertaste is a bit less sour, ends dry. quite to the point and very sour i miss some other flavors than just sour. perhaps lambic is just not me at this stage in my beer upbringing. comparing to others i’ve had, this one lacks breadth in the flavor mix. it is very sour very balanced but not much else.

750ml bottle 2006 vintage $32! It looks amazing, pink, red, cloudy with a puff of a pink head which fades to a ring of bubbles. It smells like musty lambic but not horsey, sour grapes, lemons, fantastic. It tastes like delicious sour grape juice, with a hint of must. The sourness is nice and the beer is really easy to drink.
