Cloudy orange/golden colour with no head. Sour berry fruity lactose aroma with some fruity sweetness. Very sour flavour with berries (I have no idea what does sea-buckthorn taste like so I can’t say if it’s that). Very sour and enjoyable. austone (995), Turku; Pori, Finland Jul 7, 2009 Vintage 2006, 37,5cl at One Pint Pub. Hazy golden, no head. Sweetish, a bit simple but enjoyable nose, very little seabuckthorn, basic Cantillon fruitiness, not much funk. Very acidic flavor, puckering tartness, not that fruity. Slightly hollow finish, the berries show a tad better here. Pretty "clean" overall, feels fresh and very quaffable. Medium bodied, very strong lively carbonation. Should sample a further aged bottle, I’d imagine this developing some kind of complexity with a few years on it. Now it was just refreshing and glug glug glug. KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jun 13, 2009 37,5 @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Slightly cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma was quite sour with barnyard, leather, lemons and those sour tyrnil berries. Flavour was very sour with tyrnil berries, wood, leather, barnyard and lemons. Finished kick assed sour. Lovely. Thanks Patrick! thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Mar 10, 2009 2002 bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Golden with a small white head. Complex fruity, acidic berries aroma, a bit of cheese, farmyard. Extremely sharp, refreshing berries, tearing down the enamel, funk, dry as a bone. Still well-carbonated. One of the very best, perfectly matured. JK54B (912), Helsinki, Finland Mar 1, 2009 A 0.375L bottle 2004 tasted at One Pint Pub. Sour nose with hints of tyrni-berries.Pale head. Sour fruity taste of tyrni-berries. Pale golden yellow colour. Fine sourness. Anker (305), Hillerød, Denmark Feb 24, 2009 Bottle 2002, at One Pint Pub, Helsinki.
Cloudy golden colour, with a small white head.
Aroma is citrus, hay, berries and a little "old humid cellar" like.
Flavor is more sour, dry grape and with some tartness and hints of berries, leaving a long sour aftertaste, which ends up a little sweet, making your mouth watering.
Make sure tasting this rarity, if you are in Helsinki and like lambic. tlind2 (560), Helsinki, Finland Dec 30, 2008 350 ml bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Pale golden color, white head. Signature lambic aroma. Surprisingly mellow flavor with restrained sourness. Some citric notes mixed in with berries. Medium body, medium carbonation. Pretty good, but not the best Cantillon has to offer. lassem (296), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 14, 2008 Bottle 35 cl.
Pours a hazy golden with a light white head. The nose reminds me of sour stomach and is synthetic like x-rays and sweet like sweetened cabbage. The taste is back with very sour and unripeness berries, butter, wet hay and a bit of smoke. The finish is week and fades out quickly
