Lots of that cantillon grapefruitish sourness, not a lot of berry in the flavour. fonefan (11640), VestJylland, Denmark

37.5cl bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. I had the option of trading this with Pat but I said he should just bring it along to Chris’s do and open it there. How I was kicking myself when I tasted it. Superb stuff. All the Cantillon character you would expect with an unusual hit of fruit from what I guess is the sea buckthorn. I have no idea what they are supposed to taste like by the way. Amazingly drinkable considering the trademark Cantillon sourness. Lovely orange notes and sharp puckery vitamin c. Wonderful stuff. Slightly mellower than a lot from Jean but I guess a lot of that would be down to the age this bottle being from the first batch made for One Pint. YUM. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Fruit vinegar. Vinegary aceticness and then fruity tones. Tannins and cranberry in the bite. Lasts as sour and sweetens a lottle. Quite nice actually, for a Cantillon.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Bottle@chris_o. Vintage 2001. Very harsh aroma, vinegar and barnyard. Hazy, yellow color, white head, fair lace. Sour, fruity, vinegar in the background, pretty bitter for a lambic. I love lambic but most of the Cantillons are too harsh. fiulijn (7230), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 21, 2007 At One Pint Pub, Helsinki; vintage 2003, 4 years old Hazy blond color; no head, but a thin foamy collar. Strong aroma, where the Lambic mixes with the persistent aroma of a French creamy cheese. The mouthfeel has probably been softened by the age; there is some round malt flavor, with strong citrusy character (mix of lemon and pink grapefruit), without being extremely sour (for a Cantillon, of course). The final as well is quite round, with a crescendo of astringency. An easy Cantillon; deep and pleasant, as usual. Miksu (2227), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 28, 2007 0.375 l bottle, 2003 vintage. Golden-yellow color with more head than usually in lambics. Very rich and refreshing, lots of acid and parfumy aroma of sea buckthorn, reminding cloudberry. Acidic flavor with horsey-bitter wild yeast bite and strong berryish backbone. Nice long berryish finish. Bone dry, but not as hard as some other cantillons. Also more fruit character than say in their Kriek. Excellent! Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Snow white head, unclear milky yellow body. Mild fruity aroma, some tartness, pretty intense. Some sweetness from the fruit. Flavor is very fruity with a well balanced sourness, so fruity it shows lemonade characters. Sharp, biding feeling on the tongue. Really nice, I love it when the fruit characters shines through so much! Thanks a lot J!
