So, I love any Cantillon offering - and though this beer isn’t grandly sour, it does the trick. Appearance-wise, this is peach-juice colored ambrosia. It smells of fruit, funk, and tartness. The real pleasure of this beer, or any other sour, is the way the beer tickles the back of the tongue, gently, but persuasively, imploring the drinker to have another drink.

Aroma of citrus, grapes, leather, horse blanket, lemon.
Pale straw-like yellow-gold color with just a bit of lace. Like golden Muscat grapes.
Flavor: Sweetness from the grapes matches sour, dry, and creamy. Lemons, icy dryness, funk, milk. Wow. Very complex. The sweet grapes add a very fresh dimension. Probably the sweetest Cantillon I’ve had. Yet superbly balanced by citric sourness and that exquisite dryness. Nice stuff. Not my favorite of theirs, but super refreshing and interesting. Uber funk. One of the most sour beers I’ve sampled to date. Acidic. Vinous white grapes. Very dry. Medium body. Balanced carbonation. Intense brew. Held up surprisingly well. mcbackus (753), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2009 (Draught at Falling Rock Taphouse in Denver, CO) My first experience tasting a Cantillon, and on draft no less. Pours sickly green/yellow color with very little head that recedes quickly. Smell is very vinegar-like, some sour muscat grapes without much funk to be smelled here. Taste is very straightforward with the muscat grapes, sour, vinous, apple cider vinegar. Mouthfeel is under-carbonated, but not too thin. Overall this is hurt by the abundance of sourness. Good thing this was an 8oz pour as it would have been tough to finish more I think. Makes your cheeks pucker when you drink it. csbosox (1082), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2009 ’08 cork, 750ml bottle. Hazy orange/gold color with a smallish head and gentle carbonation. There is a fairly strong barnyard aroma, initially, along with some fruity lactic tartness and a nice fruitiness. The initial mouthfeel is bracing, but gentle, sourness. The flavor is a nice mix of leather and light fruits. The finish is lingering sourness. The fruit addition is subtle.
