Sep 27, 2006 Bottled. The 6 pack I got was all over-carbonated. Appears to be bottled-conditioned. After loosing a couple of bottles to spontaneous overflow, letting them settle, I managed to try it. Light-bodied amber color - lacy head. Aroma of grass. Hoppy bite flavor. Herbal. Sticky finish. Not too good.

Sep 10, 2006 Draft at Barcade. Pours amber with very little head. Spicy aroma & flavor. Earthy malt character with a touch of caramel, with a later nutty dryness and spicyness. Simple.

Aug 7, 2006 Draught. Not too bad, but i guess it was a little unexciting. Some light caramelly sweetness and then a dry-ish, mildly bitter hoppy finish. Quite easy to drink, but not something i would search out.

Jul 13, 2006 Bottle - Poured a copper-colored amber in color with a small whitish head. Aroma was not strong, but did remind me of caramel malts and some faint hoppiness. Flavor is stronger of the hops than the aroma, but the flavor is still not that strong. Finishes with a nice hoppy bitterness.

Jul 1, 2006 Beautiful browish copper appearance. Smooth pour with limited head and surprisingly little aroma even with nose deep in the glass. It appears the scent needs to go through the mouth rather than the nostrils; I enjoyed a lingering aroma of the beer’s hops for a few moments following my first few sips. Surprisingly strong hoppiness for an amber lager. Not bad, but left me feeling like this beer is trying to compete in a different category

Jun 27, 2006 12oz bottle acquired in trade with ppoitras (thanks!). Poured a daker and slightly hazy amber color with a large sized, frothy off white head. Aromas of lemons, toasted malts, light caramel, and all around fruity. Tastes of citrus, toasted malts and some caramel. Has a lively and fizzy body that I really didn’t care too much for.

Jun 23, 2006 Bottled. Pours amber with slightly lacy white head.
The aroma is spice and fruit.
Lightish body and carbonation.
The taste is slightly spicy, with caramel malt and a lightly bitter finish. Tastes way better than Fisherman’s Friend, but nothing really stands out about this beer.
