12 oz bottle. Pours to a bright, amber color, with a tall, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose is fragrant, with good hop aromas of citrus and pine, paired with some sweet and toasted malt aroma. The palate is firm, with good pale, caramel, and toasty malt flavor, on a clean, round body. This beer finishes with more pale, and toasty malt flavor up front, then ends with a zesty, citrus hop bite that lingers. Very flavorful, very drinkable amber lager. I think the hop aromas and bitterness were a little too aggressive. I would have liked more malt character in the finish, and more malt aroma vrs hop aroma. That being said, this is a well made beer, one I enjoyed, and one I will re-visit.

Pours a golden brown with a big uneven cream head. Smells of malts, sweet and chocolate. Taste is same, not too exciting or exotic. Just straight forward caramel, spices and a little chocolate. For a dark lager, I suppose its not so bad, but I don’t want any more of this one.

A cloudy, light gold with a big foamy head that spilled over the glass before it quickly faded. It looked awful! Strong malt flavor, well balanced, with a nice hop finish in the aftertaste. A bit more robust than I would expect from an Amber. Full-bodied, mouth filling. Held up well to a hearty meal. Tastes great!

Staight forward clean and simple beer. Not much going on here, but it has a nice drinkability to it.

12oz brown bottle from Florian’s. Translucent amber body with a half inch of off-white head that dissipates relatively quickly. Caramel malt characterizes the aroma with a slight hop presence, but slightly weaker than expected. Full-flavored though, with a roasty sweet caramel malt dominating the flavor with no more than a suggestion of hop, just enough to balance the malt. A nice balance to the flavor makes it pleasant and drinkable. Medium in body. A really nice brew. Somewhat simple, but pleasant, tasty, and satisfying. I’ll definitely be getting this one again.

Tap at Barcade. Amber beer with a very creamy white head. Lovely aroma with lots of flowery/spicy noble hop aroma over a soft earthy malt base. A hint of wheaty spice as well. Flavours are similar, with nothing earthshattering, but an very tasty balance of spicy hops and a dry finish that make you craze another mouthful. The definition of quaffability. Great session beer.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber with a foamy head that became uneven, eventually breaking down to what looked like floating bits of pond scum. Mostly malty aroma with some grassy and red apple peel notes. Flavor of grainy and bready malt, with some fruity tartness and slightly bitter hop finish. A bit of a grassy/leafy aftertaste. Light to medium palate. Nothing exceptional. A relatively non-offensive session brew.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a hazy orange with minimal ivory bubbles around the edges of the glass. Aroma is of fruit, hops, and rich malt. Taste is crisp, with a bitter bite that ends with sweet malt and fruit notes.
