Biscuit and caramel aroma with a mix of floral hops. Full bodied, moderately bitter and very enjoyable. Flavor follows the aroma with a little more depth of nutty, toasted malts. Hops are well intertwined with the malt. Tessic (473), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2009 This IPA poured a deep orange colour with no head. even after a vigorous pour. To the nose there are scents of caramel, corn, sweet malts and a little resin? First swig was smooth and hoppy. Flavours of tea, spruce and caramel are in the running. Slightly watery texture though. Finish is hoppy with the tea flavours lingering. Palate has a lingering bitterness. jcwattsrugger (5563), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Has a dark golden color. Aroma is of hops, barley, some slight yeast, and smoke. Taste is of hops, pine, and yeast (almost like cheese). It’s aftertaste is a little bitter but it doesn’t seem to be a hoppy bite, it’s as if they used some type of artificial hop flavor. mcox90 (649), Wilton, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off white cap. Moderate hop nose with faint malt background. Basic palate, not heavy, but not weak either. Basic hop flavors, pine and grapefruit. A little malt for balance. Decent little IPA. bsp77 (202), Minnesota, USA

Slightly hazy reddish amber with very thin head.
Very mild malt smell, kind of English. Where is the hop smell?
Light English malts with nice hop presence that leaves a grapefruit bitter aftertaste that slowly builds. For an IPA, it really isn’t all that bitter - more balanced.
Low carbonation and relatively light body. Dry finish. Once again, very English.
Pleasant, easy drinking ale. Nothing stands out too much, but I like it and could easily enjoy another.

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Wow. Truly terrible. sharp aroma with little malt. Flavor was un-redeeming, harsh, earthy, dirt-like hop flavor that lingers unpleasantly. Malt was pretty much non existent and what was there was not good. Tasted like it was made from an old extract kit. I tried letting it warm up to see if more malt would come through, but ultimately just dumped it out. Cool label though.
