| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 25, 2008 12oz brown bottle from Tiger Town in Gardiner. Pours a murky orange-red body with a thin off-white head. Smells like caramel and toffee malt with some minty and citrussy hops. Tastes like caramel and toffee with citrussy and grassy hops. Thick bodied bordering on viscous with low carbonation, which hurts the drinkability greatly. Not that hoppy for an IPA, more like an APA, and not that good a one at that... Not too keen on this one. ahalloin (54), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Pours a dark foggy amber color with a big fluffy light tan head. The head has great retention attaching itself to the side of the glass. The aroma is rather light with definite hop and citrus notes and some trace of malt. The mouthfeel is decidedly medium. The flavor presents itself in phases with a sweetish barely and malty nose giving way to a rather stinging dose of bitter hops. To me this isn’t very well balanced. It could use more malt to balance the finishing flavor. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2008 12 oz bottle. Hazed red beer with a huge tan head that lasts forever. Nicely balanced nose, sweet caramel malt and bread with orange and grapefruit. Flavor is nice, bready malt with orange and grapefruit rind. Herbal finish, some lemon zest. Very drinkable, medium bodied with excellent lace rings. Solid beer. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. Sweet citric hops in the aroma, heavy grapefruit with lychee and bread, moderate-strong pine. Uncontrollable head, but leads to a gorgeous pour, huge and rocky and beige and unbelievably long-lasting, on a hazy amber body. Taste is very, very bitter with slight resin and lingering C-hops. Natural grapefruit and orange rinds. Very robust, stinging flavor, but turns a bit metallic by the end. Medium-full body is crisp. Finish is long, dry, and bitter. On another day, in a different mood, I might give this a 3.8-4.0. This seems like an IPA to stand up against flavorful food, but otherwise I’d pass. sgallant (21), USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Aromas of hop and malt. Hazy mahogany color with a 3 or 4 finger head. Sweet citrus hop? Or caramel with hop? Really tasty. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. The hop dominates, and the finish is bitter. It’s really great. 64 IBUs? Seems like more. Just good ale. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
