Poured a deep copper color with thin white head. Nice aroma of earthy hops. Flavor was citrus and pine hops mellowed by sweet malts. This is a well balanced IPA, very easy to drink and enjoy. I wished I could get this where I live. A session IPA if there ever was one.

Very dark for an IPA...almost brown in color. Thin head...thin body. Smells like pretty much nothing, and has an odd taste of coffee beans. Slightly phenol. Has an English bitter to it as stated by MrBunn. Odd.

Bottle with thanks to coyotehunter. Pours a light brown with a thin head and aromas that are best described as absent. Flavor is English IPA or ESB... A bit of caramel malt and some medicinal hops are about it. A failure as an IPA but not that bad under a different title.

Tasting at a beerfest [Disclaimer: This was tasted along with many, many other beers during a tasting at Julios. Some of the details are a little hazy]. Liked this one slightly better than their brew which I liked slightly better than their ale.

Pours an almost maple syrup color, very clear. Tan head, short-lived. Yeast, slight toffee, and heavy hops in the nose. Toasted spicy hops, colored by caramel and alcohol dominate the palate in a suprisingly tasty beer.

bottle. Pours a clear, deep burnished copper color, decent inch of light tan head with good lacing and sticking. Aromas of light floral and spicy hops, and plenty of smooth caramel sweetness. Aroma is enjoyable, but understated- some more strength to the nose would be a great improvement. Flavor starts with a nice floral hop bite, middling bitterness that lasts well and coats the palate. Light spicy notes, some pepper. Smooth toasted caramel sweetness that stays tame and smooth. Flavor is definitely not typical for an IPA- verging towards an ESB. But solid and enjoyable. Palate is light and a bit on the thin side, but works very well with the flavor, Superbly easy drinking, very sessionable for an IPA. Overall a solid and enjoyable brew, if not typical for an IPA.
