Malt shows through more heavily than expected in the aroma. Some green tea, snap peas, and almost some really, really subdued minty notes. Not bad, but maltier than I like the aroma of my IPAs to be. Much more hop presence in taste in the form of bitterness, but it is abrasive, brief, and doesn’t meld overly well with the malt. Malt very dominant after the initial blast of grapefruit pulp bitterness. Thin, pretty good length to the finish, and quite smooth. A drinkable beer that is lacking in a number of ways, but is in no way offensive. Radek Kliber (4000), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Deep orange-tinted amber coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh citrus and pieny hops with a blast of caramel and lemons in the nose too. Medium-bodied; Nice full taste of Pacific Northwest hops in the taste, fading to pine and a pleasant bitterness. Aftertaste shows a little bit of sugars, but mainly the hops come out and stay nicely. Overall, a suprisingly decent IPA - worth sampling at least! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 15 July 2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. j12601 (1366), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown, almost a ruby character to it, with a hefty white tan head comprised of fairly large bubbles. Aromas of malt, with some hints of hops. Body is medium, with more malt. Almost soapy finish with a number of unpleasant notes to it. Not too good.
