Commercial Description:
German Doppel Bock style of exceptional quality, flavors and body. The Navigator is CABC’s winter-seasonal offering. With a toasty biscuit flavor, it’s unlike any beer you’ve had while managing to stay strictly within style. Slightly sweet to offset the higher alcohol content, it’s a grand version of a classic German Doppel-Bock. This beer is a differing take on the average winter seasonal take and we think you’ll thank us for it.

This years Doppelbock style lager has no spices as it did last year but offers a spectacular mouthful of flavor. EXCEPTIONAL!! Ready Nov 1st

Pours a light brown with a thin white head. Aroma is some caramel a little bit of malt. Flavor is also a bit of caramel, but this beer is very watery, Not a whole lot going on in the palate. Thin slight malt flavors. This is 8%? Why bother? Sobriety waster.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep, dark amber body with a smallish, white head. Smell: Lightly sweet-smelling nose of bready malts and, to a lesser degree, caramel with dark fruit notes of a nose-tingling waft of alcohol. Taste: Toasted, multi-grain bread slathered in sweetish dark caramel sauce. Raisin and plum fruitiness. Tiny bit of hop bitterness. Some unrestrained, peppery fusels roaming free throughout the taste. In the tailed, there’s a rebound of toasted malt that develops into a growing, somewhat harsh graininess that dominates the drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s not exactly the most graceful, adroit dopplebock on the dopple block. The slightly astringent graininess in the latter half mars the overall experience.

12 oz bottle. Malty nose with some floral spicy hop aroma. Clear dark amber. Sweet maltyness with some spicy hop notes and a touch of light graininess. Finish is dry with light residual bitterness. Pretty good.

12oz bottle from EZ. Pours a thin looking orange/amber with a fizzy light beige head. Sweet aroma of raisin, grains, molassess and some honey. Thin bodied with average carbonation and a quickly fading sweet aftertaste. Flavor is similar to the aroma. This one is just an entry level beer and doesnt really try to push any boundries.
