| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2008 I loved this beer The aroma is great on this, giving huge pumpkin, allspice, and chocolate malt. The pour is onyx, very deep black, with a subdued khaki head. The taste is chocolate malty, with a heavy dose of pumpkin, some brown sugar, nutmeg, and pumpkin spice notes. Rich, complex palate that stays pretty tart toward the end. This is one of the more unique styles I’ve ever had, and proves to me that there is a lot more that can be done with pumpkin experimentation, as well as fruity stouts. This one worked very well for me Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Clear dark brown with an orange hue and a rough, beige head. Spicy, cinnamon-like aroma with some hard roasted malts also. Medium body, quite spicy with cardamom and cinnamon showing combined with a roasty malt feel. Dry and lightly burned malt bitterness in the finish. 131108 yespr (12426), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Bottle at home ... Thnaks to BeerBill for this one ... Deep black thick bubbly tan head ... sweet pumpkin nose ... Pumpkin kicks through right away along with a heavy spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) ... Its only then that the roach malt with a little chocolate breaks through... the pumpkin persisit though the whole flavour profile ... Decent enough and worth the experience. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Courtesy of Sea Bass. Pours deep darkness with ruby red edges and thin tan head. The aroma is sweet pumpkin and smooth cinnamon followed by a touch of dark roasted malts. The taste has bolder winter to cinnamon spiciness than noticed in the nose followed by moderate pumpkin, dark roastiness and mild malt astringency. ahalloin (54), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2008 I was lucky enough to have this on tap at Bierra Paradiso in DC! This beer pours a dark black fluid where only the tiniest bit of light gets through the very sides of the glass. Great head retention. The aroma is of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a light aroma reminiscent of pumpkin pie! The flavor has all the roastiness of a stout but with that extra special kick from the pumpkin and spices! The mouthfeel is very smooth like a milk stout! Great beer. dogfish120love (286), west hartford, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 pours black with a frothy light brown head. Smells of pumpkin, allspice and nutmeg. Flavors are the same, pumpkin, nutmeg and allspice, with a little coffee and unsweetened chocolate. not bad but not great, the stout idea behingd it is kind of unique. Kind of like guiness with a hint of pumpkin and nutmeg. dmac (1507), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased from EZ Liquors. Pours dark black, slightly thin but hey viscous Impy Stouts are my favorite, with an average size rocky light beige head. Aroma on this one was a nice suprise with a good amount of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove and a light touch of burnt roasted malts from the base beer. Body on this one was on the lighter and to be honest just a little to light for the strong amount of carbonation that was present. Flavor is similar to the aroma with the pumpkin and spices taking the lead and the stout coming in towards the end. This was definitely one of the better pumpkin beers I have tried with the right amount of spices the short coming on this one however appears to be an inferior stout as the base beer. If the base beer had some more body to it this one could easily rate a 4 or higher.
