Commercial Description:
2007 New England Microbrew Champ and Silver Medal winner at the 2007 Great International Beer Festival! This very unique style is more stout than the usual "pumpkin pie" ales that are out there, with hints of real pumpkin & spice and a dark, coffee, stout flavor!

Draft at Blind Tiger, with Reuben & Jen, as part of their pumpkin Promo. 15 lines i believe. All sampled as 5oz pours. Served via gravity keg. Mostly chocolate and dark malts, some pumpkin and spices as well.

The first in an onslaught of seasonal pumpkin beers. this one is actually pretty nice. It pours a really gorgeous deep brown color with a short-lived tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, a little pumpkin, and a lot of nutmeg. Flavor is more of the same. Decent stout with some nutmeg and pumpkin flavors. My only beef with it is that it’s a pretty one note beer. It’s a good note, but it’s not terribly complex. This would be really good with some pumpkin ice cream.

Bottle shared by robert at stateline. I never had a pumpkin stout before so I wasnt sure what to expect... Dark in color. Nice aroma of pumpkin and spices. Flavor was pumpkin but with a little bitterness. Kind of smokey with a little roasted malt touch as well. Kind of a hybird beer... Texture was a little thin for a stout but still good. Overall I enjoyed it. Thanks robert for sharing!

Bottle. Pours black with a small, rapidly disappearing tan head. Aroma of pumpkin spices. The flavor definitely brings out the smokey roasted malt with a tinge of pumpkin spices in the finish. But mostly the stout flavors are dominant. Palate is a little weak. Interesting blend of styles that meshed together nicely! A good, unique pumpkin beer.

Has a tan head and a black body. Looks just like a stout ought to. Spicy and malty aroma. Pumpkin overtones with a slight chocolate taste. Rather spicy. I think this is a really good take on the pumpkin beer.

Definitely on the dry side of the pumpkin beers I have tried. A pretty good stout with pumpkin and spice on the mid-palate and finish.

I am not impressed. This poured black with a very light tan head... almost like a soda. There is really no aroma. The taste is that of stout with reallly light pumpkin overtones. The palate is too bubly like soda. Its just OK nothing special.

The bottle great, the beer in the glass also. Deep dark. Tastes very complex, notes of liquorice and potato. Also woody and earthy. Strange, but good! Big thanks to jjpm74 for this beer!
