Commercial Description:
2007 New England Microbrew Champ and Silver Medal winner at the 2007 Great International Beer Festival! This very unique style is more stout than the usual "pumpkin pie" ales that are out there, with hints of real pumpkin & spice and a dark, coffee, stout flavor!

The bottle great, the beer in the glass also. Deep dark. Tastes very complex, notes of liquorice and potato. Also woody and earthy. Strange, but good! Big thanks to jjpm74 for this beer!

Black in colour with ruby edges, near headless, no lacing. The aroma is slightly spicy, some cloves, coffee and roasted malts. The flavour is of pumpkin and spices to start turning to coffee and roast, some chocolate. Lightly spicy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a bit of spice, roasty.

An interesting take on a stout and a refreshing change to the everyday pumpkin beers.

355ml bottle obtained in a trade with kmweaver, thanks Ken.

From my backlog. Now this was a bizzare brew! Rather high degree of black specialty malt with several various spices and pumpkin. Nutmeg, a little vanilla, coriander, cinnamon, milk chocolate all add to the complexity. Touch of smoke for good measure. A bit light on the body and mouthfeel. Huh, not sure what to make of this. Worth a try.

Bottle thanks to jjpm74. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head at all. The aroma is like a good stout with some spices and pumpkin. The taste is really nice; a smooth spicy mix with pumpkin, lightly roasted malts, cinnamon, and some bitterness. Really quite nice and unique. I think this could be a good drink all year ’round. I liked it a lot.

Thanks to Douglas88 for bringing this. Nose is spicey fo so’ almost clove like. It wasn’t bad, but the spice was a bit dominant, too much so for me.

Courtesy of Dragonstout. Very unique brew. Pours a dark dark brown with a very thin tan head. Aroma is mostly pumpkin. Tastes of spice, pumpkin, smoked malt, wood, nut, and cocoa. Almost like chocolate covered pumpkin pie? Palate is full bodied with a spicy, low carbonation taste. Great job on this brew. Gives me lots of ideas.

(Bottle) Pours a dark mahogany (near black) body with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, pumpkin, and some nutmeg. Flavor of pumpkin, chocolate, and roasted malt with a nicely carbonated mouthfeel.
